犯罪地理学以社会问题为导向，关注犯罪现象的格局、过程与机理，沿着“揭示问题、服务安全、解决问题”的思路，去破解复杂的社会难题，而犯罪者作案地选择是其研究的重要内容。针对以往犯罪者作案地选择研究缺乏个体属性和时间维度，作案地选择机理解释不足，理论成果与现实防控间互动不足等问题，本项目将继续与广州市公安局密切合作，拟按照“微观环境-主观特性-犯罪防控-现实验证”相结合的研究范式，将访谈与犯罪数据相结合，从犯罪者如何选择作案地的视角，利用离散空间选择模型、机器学习和对照试验等方法，系统研究不同属性犯罪者作案地选择的时空模式、影响因素及形成机理，整合犯罪者作案地选择的时空偏好，以及地区警力资源与防控体系，制定出精细化的防控策略。项目理论上具有丰富犯罪地理学的研究内容及视角，为提高我国犯罪地理研究的应用价值贡献力量；实践上积极响应国家社会治安的重大需求，为事前防控、主动处置以及警力优化配置提供支持。

Geography of crime is oriented to social problems, it pays attention to the patterns, processes, and mechanisms of crime phenomenon and aims to contribute to the improvement of public safety and crime prevention. The offender's crime location choice is an important part of research on crime geography. However, in view of the shortcomings of the existing research, such as the lack of individual attribute and time dimension, the insufficient explanation of the choice mechanism of crime location, and the lack of interaction between criminological theories and policing practices, etc. Based on the perspective of how the offender chooses the place to commit a crime, this project will continue to work closely with the Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, according to the "micro-environment-subjective characteristics-crime prevention-reality verification" of the combination of research paradigm, and it will intend to combine offender interviews with crime data, using the methods of discrete spatial choice model, machine learning and controlled trial design to systematically research on the spatio-temporal pattern, influencing factors and formation mechanism of the offender's crime location choice with different attributes, and integrates the spatio-temporal preferences of offenders, the resources of police forces and the system of crime prevention and control, so as to formulate micro-prevention and control strategies. Therefore, this project will theoretically enrich the research contents and perspectives of crime geography, and contribute to improving the application value of crime geography research in China. In practice, it also actively responds to the major needs of national social security, providing support for the prevention and control in advance, active disposal and optimal allocation of the police force.
