植物蛋白基胶黏剂因其原料可再生和环保性好而备受关注。高温固化植物蛋白基胶黏剂的研究成果丰富且可替代部分醛系胶黏剂用于制作人造板;而室温固化植物蛋白基胶黏剂的研究较少。本项目拟采用成本低廉、植物蛋白含量高的非粮食棉籽粕为原料,制备室温固化木材胶黏剂;研究生物联合化学方法对棉籽粕进行定向修饰形成活性官能团,再设计引入氯乙醇基、氮杂环基等碱调控室温交联反应官能团的机制;分析胶液界面及各组分的性质演变规律,实现棉籽粕木材胶黏剂的碱调控室温交联固化;研究棉籽粕木材胶黏剂的耐水胶接性能,阐明胶液中基团的组成、化学结构、含量等对胶接性能的影响机制,探明室温固化棉籽粕木材胶黏剂的独特优势,为类似原料的生物质胶黏剂研究及室温固化棉籽粕木材胶黏剂的应用提供理论基础。

Vegetable protein-based adhesives have attracted much attention because the main raw materials are renewable and environmentally sound. Many studies focus on the high-temperature curing vegetable protein-based adhesives stating that the adhesives can be used for replacing some of the formaldehyde-based adhesives for preparation wood-based panel. However, little has been reported on the room-temperature curing vegetable protein-based adhesives. In this proposal, we aim to prepare a room-temperature curing cottonseed meal-based wood adhesives derived from the non-food cottonseed meal because of low cost and high vegetable protein content. The cottonseed meal was targeted modification via a bio-chemical treatment to generate its functional groups, and the alkali-controlled room-temperature reaction functional groups such as chlorohydrin and zaetidinium groups were then introduced to obtain the adhesive. The mechanism, stability, and interface properties of the adhesive was investigated. Finally, the room-temperature curing cottonseed meal-based wood adhesives were carried out at alkali-controlled condition. The gluability of the room-temperature curing cottonseed meal-based wood adhesives at moisture condition will be studied. The influence of composition, chemical structure, and concentration of functional groups on the gluability of adhesives will be demonstrated. The unique advantage of the cottonseed meal-based wood adhesives with room-temperature curing and water resistance properties will be clarified. Our proposal for the cottonseed meal-based wood adhesives with room-temperature curing and water resistance properties will provide a fundamental and theory insight into the preparation and application of the similar bio-based adhesive with ideal properties.
