数学天元基金于1989年设立，其目标是把中国建设成为一个数学强国。在数学天元基金设立30周年之际，我们拟编辑制作“推动数学发展的平台--数学天元基金三十年”文集，主要搜集整理30年来数学天元基金的发展大事件和历史资料，不同领域方向数学家的专访、回忆录，以及数学天元基金对我国数学发展的重大影响。这既是对过去的总结和回顾，又是对将来的展望，同时也希望能吸引更多年轻学者，引导他们了解数学、热爱数学、用好数学。

Tianyuan Fund for Mathematics was set up in 1989 with the aim of building China into a strong country in mathematics. On the 30th anniversary of the Tianyuan Fund for Mathematics, we intend to edit and produce a collection titled “Platform for Promoting Mathematics Development -- Thirty Years of Tianyuan Fund for Mathematics”. The main contents include a detailed review of the history and major events, interviews and memoirs of mathematicians in different fields, and the great influence of Tianyuan Fund for Mathematics on the development of mathematics in China. It is not only a summary of the past, but also a prospect for the future. It also hopes to attract more young scholars and guide them to understand mathematics, love mathematics, and use mathematics well.
