大都市是国家经济发展的中心与区域经济发展的引擎，也是旅游创新发展的重要平台，大都市旅游是人文地理学研究的前沿领域。本项目运用系统发展观，以上海市作为中国大都市典型案例，综合运用地理学、经济学、城市规划、社会学、管理学、生态学等多学科的理论与方法体系，从中微观视角，研究城市更新和新经济发展背景下，中国大都市旅游空间格局形成及演化的过程、特征与机制，识别与测度城市更新背景下大都市旅游发展的空间响应与空间效应，设计空间导引模型与方案。进行国际典型案例比较，揭示中国大都市旅游发展的特色模式与旅游空间演化的一般性规律。理论上探讨大都市旅游发展与城市要素系统在时空上互相作用关系与互动机制，揭示大都市旅游空间格局形成与演化机理，总结大都市旅游产业空间布局与产业发展理论。研究有助于拓展与深化旅游地理学、城市地理学、经济地理学相关研究领域与内容，为今后城市旅游可持续发展及产业科学布局提供案例借鉴与理论支撑。

Metropolis is the center of national economic development and the engine of regional economic development. Besides, it is also an important platform for the development of tourism innovation. Until now new economic development and urban renewal have changed the mechanism and spatial pattern of metropolitan tourism development, which are becoming the key frontier of tourism geography research. Therefore, this project takes Shanghai as a typical case to analyze the theories and methods of geography, economics, urban planning, sociology and management to use for reference. From medium-micro perspective, this project studies the process and characteristics of the formation and evolution of China 's metropolitan tourism spatial pattern under the background of urban renewal and new economic development as well as explores the driving mechanism of the formation and evolution of metropolitan tourism spatial pattern. Next, it identifies and measures the spatial response and spatial effect of tourism development under different paths of urban renewal, and designs the spatial guiding mode and scheme of metropolitan tourism spatial pattern formation and evolution in order to carry out international typical case comparison and reveal the characteristic mode and general law of China's metropolitan tourism development. Finally, it theoretically explores the relationship between the metropolitan tourism development and the urban factor system in time and space, and summarizes the spatial layout and industrial development theory of the metropolitan tourism industry. In a word, this research will help to expand the field of tourism geography, urban geography and economic geography as well as provide case reference and theoretical support for the future sustainable development of urban tourism and the layout of industrial science.
