新生代印度-欧亚板块碰撞与青藏高原隆升,调整了中国西部的盆山格局。柴达木盆地西南部昆北断阶带/祁漫塔格山前古近系亿吨级油田的勘探优势能否扩大,取决于该时期盆地南部边界的位置,现今南部边界祁漫塔格山生长历史及地形演化是解决该问题的关键。然而,目前该研究分歧巨大,且主要集中在北祁漫塔格山。本项目拟选择祁漫塔格山基岩及河砂进行磷灰石裂变径迹热年代学研究,结合磷灰石U-Th/He测年及山体基岩磷灰石裂变径迹年龄-高程关系,建立南、北祁漫塔格山完整而详细的构造隆升(生长)-剥露历史,计算地质历史时期二者剥蚀速率,反演其地形变化,为柴达木盆地西南边界演化提供来自山体地貌的直接约束。该研究可为确定柴达木盆地新生代早期盆地范围,探寻新的油气耙区提供理论指导;为东昆仑西部的构造演化提供新资料,对深入理解新生代印度-欧亚板块碰撞远程效应下青藏高原北部边界迁移轨迹及高原隆升机制、生长方式等都具有重要的科学意义。

The Cenozoic collision of India-Eurasia plate and uplift of Tibet Plateau, alter the tectonic distribution of the basin-mountain in Western China. Paleocene hundred million tons of oil field in Kunbei fault terrace zone/ Qimen Tagh Mountains piedmont zone of southwestern Qaidam basin whether could be expanded or not, which depends on the location of the basin’s southern boundary during this period. The Cenozoic uplift history of Qimen Tagh Mountains, which is the present southern border of Qaidam basin, is the key to solve this problem. However, the uplift history has a great deal of controversy and mainly concentrates in the northern Qimen Tagh Mountain. This study will collect the bedrock and detrital samples from the Qimen Tagh Mountains in the western, central and eastern parts and study of apatite fission track thermochronology. Combined with U-Th/He dating of apatite and age-elevation relationship of apatite fission track in mountain bedrock, we will establish a complete and detailed history of tectonic uplift (growth)-exhumation in the southern and northern Qimen Tagh Mountains, calculate their erosion rates in geological history, and invert their topographic changes, which can provide direct constraints on the evolution of the southwestern boundary of Qaidam Basin. This study can provide theoretical guidance for determining the scope of the early Cenozoic basin in Qaidam Basin and exploring new oil and gas harrowing areas, collect new data for the structural evolution of the western part of East Kunlun Mountains, and have important scientific significance for further understanding the northern boundary migration track, uplift mechanism and growth mode of the Tibetan Plateau under the remote effect of the Cenozoic Indian-Eurasian plate collision.
