The solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) co-electrolysis of H2O/CO2 can effectively alleviate the status quo of "valley power" waste in power plants and promote the realization of carbon neutrality goals. The current use of "safety gas" on the cathode side of SOEC not only increases the cost and complexity of the process, but also limits the range of product ratios. The project aims to use SOEC co-electrolysis of H2O/CO2 to co-produce syngas and oxygen. Based on our previous work, we intends to study this project from the macro and micro levels: (1) The hard template method is used to controllably construct the B-site doped La0.5Sr0.5FeO3-based cathode material, and through adjusting the cathode structure and micro morphology to establish the structure-effect relationship of the material; (2) With the help of in-situ spectroscopy, electrochemical testing technology and density functional theory calculations, the gas adsorption characteristics and the reaction intermediate active species are clarified, the synergistic mechanism of B-site metal elements is explained, micro-reaction pathways is established, and the mechanism of cathode co-electrolysis is revealed; (3) Based on experimental and theoretical analysis, the construction of SOEC co-electrolysis system is optimized, and the impact of working conditions on product distribution and various evaluation indicators are investigated. The successful implementation of this project can provide theoretical support for the development of efficient and stable high-temperature co-electrolysis H2O/CO2 cathode materials, and contribute to the green and low-carbon development of power plants.
