烟熏是古代壁画类遗址最常见的病害之一,其成因及表现形式复杂多样。火发生时不仅会导致壁画的完全毁坏,画面被燃烧产物覆盖,丧失本身的艺术观赏价值,还会引起一系列的起甲、开裂、颜料变色等状况。当前相关研究主要集中在高温引发的历史建筑材料的物理化学改变方面,对烟熏病害中壁画材料性状改变机理的研究很少。.敦煌莫高窟是丝绸之路上重要的遗址地,存有公元4-14世纪壁画洞窟492个,其中有超过十分之一的洞窟呈现不同程度的烟熏病害现象,但仅有1980年代烟熏壁画清洗试剂选择的研究报道。为弥补相关研究基础空白,本研究旨在以莫高窟烟熏壁画为主要研究对象,结合模拟实验,采用无损及微量样品分析的综合分析方法对壁画原始材料及烟熏病害状态进行解析,揭示烟熏病害对古代壁画的影响机理。

A large amount variety of the fire-related damages/deterioration was characterized in worldwide mural sites. Fires can not only result in complete destruction of wall paintings or can cover the artwork with accumulated soot to an extent to which it can no longer be used for study or be enjoyed by the public, but also induce a large variety of problematic condition such as varying degrees of flaking, cracks, colour alterations etc. It is vital and inevitable to study the mechanism of fire effects before any appropriate preservation for fire-damaged wall paintings. Present researches are mainly focuse on the physical and chemical changes of historical building materials caused by high temperature, though the research on fire damaged murals is very limited..About 1/10 of Mogao caves, with 492 painted caves from 4th to 14th century, the important heritage site on the Silk Road, have different levels of fire-related damage presence. Just a few researches about fire-damaged caves were reported in 1980s and they are mainly focused on the cleaning regents’ selectivity. .Given the lack of such studies, this research aims to investigate the relationship between original and fire-damaged mural materials of Mogao Grottoes. Comprehensive analysis including both of non-invasive and micro-chemical analysis will be conducted on specific wall painting technique research and a series of selected samples from comparable fire-affected area and sumulated experiment, to reveal the fire influences mechanism on wall paintings.
