北祁连山与河西走廊位于青藏高原的最北缘,被认为是青藏高原的最新组成部分,是检验高原隆升、扩展模型是否合理的关键区域。因此,北祁连山的隆升剥蚀历史和向走廊盆地的扩展过程研究对深入探究青藏高原增生过程具有重要的作用。前人对北祁连山隆升扩展过程开展了大量的研究,但北祁连山开始强烈隆升的时间还存在较大争议,这次隆升剥蚀事件之后北祁连山经历的隆升剥蚀过程以及向北扩展过程尚不清楚。锆石U-Pb年代学与碎屑AFT年代学两种方法的综合对比研究,能够对盆-山系统剥蚀-沉积过程进行双重约束,获取详细且较为完整的山体隆升扩展过程。因此,本项目选择北祁连山中段北侧的酒东盆地作为研究区,以具有良好古地磁年代框架约束的MH钻孔与SN剖面为研究对象,采用锆石U-Pb与碎屑AFT年代学手段,对盆地沉积物源区进行有效的界定,建立不同时段沉积物的源-汇体系,恢复源区山体的隆升剥露历史,进而探讨北祁连山中段新生代隆升扩展过程。

The North Qilian Shan and Hexi Corridor are located at the northernmost margin of the Tibetan Plateau and serve as the current frontier of the NE-trend growth of the plateau. Thus the tectonic deformation process during the Cenozoic has important significance in understanding the dynamic mechanism of the growth of the Tibetan Plateau. Although predecessors have done numerous researches in the North Qilian Shan and the Hexi Corridor, there are dimness and divergence in the understanding in initiated time and developed process of tectonic deformation in this region during Cenozoic. Therefore, it is imperative to constrain the process of uplift and outward growth of the Qilian Shan during the Cenozoic by more definitive evidences. Coupling between the study of Zircon U-Pb chronology and detrital apatite fission-track thermochronology of sediments in basin makes it possible to obtain a detailed and relatively complete history of uplift and outward growth of orogenic belt by dual constraints of the denudation-deposition process in the basin-mountain system. The Jidong Basin that flanking the middle segment of the North Qilian Shan to the north, has continued to subside and become infilled with a large amount of debris. The sediments preserved in the basin is the most direct and specific geological record to the process of uplift and outward growth of the Qilian Shan. Therefore, this study seclect the MH core and the SN section constrained by magnetstratigraphic chronology in the Jiudong Basin as study target. Systemic analysis of Zircon U-Pb chronology and detrital apatite fission-track thermochronology for samples from the MH core, SN section and potential source area will be conducted to constrain the provenance of sediments in the Jiudong Basin and recover the uplift and exhumation history of the source area. Combining with results of provenance analysis and exhumation history, this study will try to reveal the process of uplift and outward growth of the middle segment in the North Qilian Shan during Cenozoic.
