英文摘要
Testing the petrogenesis of the arc adakite is one of the frontier scientific issues in the materials cycling in modern subduction systems. However, hot debates remain on the petrogenesis of the arc adakite. The keys to investigating the petrogenesis of arc adakite is to choose suitable targets and to constrain the source characteristics and magmatic process of arc adakite by multiple geochemical methods. There are abundant Miocene-Pleistocene adakites distributed in the northern Bataan segment of Luzon arc. They are related to the subduction of the Huangyan Seamounts chain and the fossil spreading center of the South China Sea. The northern Bataan adakites exhibit Sr-Nd isotope composition similar to those of the South China Sea seamount basalts, suggestive of control of subducted Huangyan Seamounts chain materials in the source. This feature makes the northern Bataan adakites perfect targets to investigate the adakite petrogenesis. This proposal intends to cast constraints on source characteristics and magmatic processes of the Bataan adakites by carrying out whole rock Hf-B isotopic and amphibole in-situ element study, which in turn, would cast constraints on investigating the petrogenesis of the arc adakites. This program would deepen and widen the understanding of the study on the arc adakites and shed new lights on testing the petrogenesis of the arc adakites.
