不同时间尺度上,我国东部季风区季风降水量对东亚夏季风(EASM)变化响应的空间差异性,与相应石笋δ18O记录的空间整体一致性,成为挑战石笋δ18O记录EASM强度变化的重要证据。东亚季风系统的调整,可以同时影响降水量和降水氧同位素(δ18Op)。近期获得的河北平山珍珠洞过去13万年石笋δ13C/δ18O记录,显示了该区域季风降水量和δ18Op变化在数千年至万年尺度上的相位一致性,但是在长期变化趋势和幅度上又存在明显差异性。本申请项目拟在已有工作基础上,重建珍珠洞过去13万年以来的高分辨率石笋微量元素记录,结合对该洞穴新开展的现代观测工作、以及与来自同一石笋样品的δ13C记录的对比,明确新获得的珍珠洞石笋微量元素记录的气候环境指示意义,以期进一步认识我国华北地区季风降水量和δ18Op变化之间的关系;这对于理解石笋δ18O的指示意义和过去13万年以来的东亚夏季风变化历史,具有科学价值和意义。
英文摘要
On variable timescales, the spatially different response of monsoonal precipitation to the change of East Asian summer monsoon (EASM) in the eastern monsoonal region of China, and the overall spatially consistent stalagmite δ18O records, have been widely adopted as important evidence to challenge the stalagmite δ18O as indicator of EASM intensity. The modulation of the East Asian monsoon system can simultaneously affect both the amount and oxygen isotopic composition (δ18Op) of monsoonal precipitation. The recently reported stalagmite δ13C/δ18O records over the past 130 ka from Zhenzhu Cave in Hebei Province show the in-phase variations of amount and δ18Op of monsoonal precipitation on multiple-thousands to orbital timescales, but with obviously different long-term trends and amplitudes. On the basis of existing works, this project is going to reconstruct the high-resolution stalagmite trace elemental records over the past 130 ka from Zhenzhu Cave. Combination with the results of newly conduct cave modern monitoring works and the comparison with the δ13C record from the same stalagmite sample, the climatic and environmental indicative significance of the newly acquired trace element records from Zhenzhu Cave will be carefully determined, in order to obtain new insights about the relationship between amount and δ18Op of monsoonal precipitation in northern China. The expected outcomes of this project is valuable for the further understanding of the stalagmite δ18O records from monsoonal China and the history of EASM changes over the past 130 ka.
