含氧挥发性有机物(OVOCs)是挥发性有机物(VOCs)的重要组成部分,在大气环境化学中扮演重要作用。国际上最新研究结果表明,石油化工生产过程中排放和生成的OVOCs经过光解,释放自由基,使大气氧化性增强,加剧O3和有机气溶胶污染。OVOCs二次光化学生成及后续反应生成O3和有机气溶胶的化学过程非常复杂,因缺少对石化企业周边大气OVOCs测定及相关化学过程的研究,我国华北石化地区OVOCs二次生成化学机制及其对区域空气质量的影响尚不清楚。本项目拟在我国华北典型石化企业周边开展现场观测,采集OVOCs样品,同时对相关污染物及气象参数进行测量,查明OVOCs污染特征;并利用OBM箱式模型揭示典型天气条件下OVOCs生成机制,评估OVOCs光化学反应过程对O3、二次有机气溶胶(SOA)和大气氧化性的定量影响。项目研究成果预期可以丰富关于O3和雾霾污染成因这一热点问题的科学认知。

Oxygenated volatile organic compounds (OVOCs) are an important class of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and play critical roles in atmospheric chemistry. The latest international research results show that OVOCs discharged or generated in the process of petrochemical production can release ROX radicals through photolysis, which enhances atmospheric oxidation and intensifies O3 and organic aerosols pollution. The secondary formation of OVOCs and further reactions to form O3 and organic aerosols is very complicated. Yet due to the lack of studies on OVOCs measurement and related chemical processes in the atmosphere surrounding petrochemical enterprises, the underlying secondary formation mechanism of OVOCs as well as environmental consequence in the polluted atmosphere of the petrochemical area of North China have not been fully understood to date. In present project, we plan to collect OVOCs samples in typical petrochemical enterprises in North China and detect the characteristics of OVOCs pollution. In the same time, related pollutants and meteorological parameters will be monitored. The OBM box model will be utilized to reveal the OVOCs formation mechanism and to quantify the impacts of this unique process on O3、secondary orgnic aerosols (SOA)production and atmospheric oxidation capacity in petrochemical areas under typical weather conditions. The project results will enrich significantly the existing knowledge on the O3-phtochamical pollution and haze pollution, a hot topic of international research.
