本项目以云南大学数学与统计学院、云南大学大数据研究院为依托平台，承办2017年国家自然科学基金委数学天元基金项目：2017年全国统计学研究生暑期学校。本次暑期学校将围绕着统计学基础理论、方法和前沿热点问题，开设贝叶斯统计和多元统计分析两门核心课程，以及机器学习与推荐系统、大数据统计计算基础、遗传统计、后模型选择推断和大维随机矩阵等五门专题系列讲座。本次暑期学校将充分利用当前国际统计学界优质的产学研相结合的教育资源，帮助学员了解和掌握大数据时代下现代统计学的基本理论、方法和最新成果；为学员与国际一流专家之间搭建一个学术交流与合作的平台，以提升培训学员的科研创新能力；促进不同区域、不同培养单位之间的学术交流，提高研究生教育的培养质量；最终达到推动国内统计学科的进一步发展的目的。

Based on the academic platform of School of Mathematics and Statistics and Institute of Big Data of Yunnan University, this project will hold 2017 graduate summer school which is supported by Mathematics Tianyuan Fund of NSFC. Focused on the basic theory, method and hotspot problems in statistics, this summer school will train two core courses including Bayesian statistics and multivariate statistical analysis, and five special lectures including machine learning and recommender systems, statistical basis of big data, genetical statistics, post-model selection inference and large dimensional random matrix. By making full use of the high quality educational resources in the international statistical society, these courses will help the trainers to understand and grasp the basic theories，methods of modern statistics and the latest achievements in the era of big data, to build an academic exchange and cooperation platform between trainers and internationally renowned statistical experts, to enhance trainers’ ability of scientific research innovation, to promote academic communications among different regions and different training institutes, and eventually reach the purpose of promoting the further development of statistics in China.
