英文摘要
Fermi Bubbles (FBs) are new structures detected in the gamma-ray band within the last decade. They mainly consist of two lobes, and each of them has a width of 40 degrees and a height of 50 degrees. Since they are thought to be originated from the Galactic center, further researches will help us understand how the activities in the Galactic center happen. The applicant will perform detailed analyses of FBs and related diffuse sources with the gamma-ray data observed by DAMPE and Fermi-LAT. Based on the up-to-date cosmic ray observations, the new results on the distribution of interstellar medium, and the latest version of Galprop code, we will make a series of Galactic diffuse emission models which are more physical and accurate than previous works, and then use them to fit the photons around the Galactic plane. Considering the new Galactic diffuse emission models, we are able to derive the spectrum of FBs with the DAMPE data. It is the first independent result from the Fermi-LAT one and is less affected by the cosmic ray contamination. The applicant will also use the adaptive template method in the Fermi-LAT data to generate a more accurate spatial template of FBs. We will analyze the spectra of two lobes, cocoon and other sub-structures in the FBs. All these works will improve our understanding of the FBs and may provide useful information on their origin.
