帕米尔高原作为亚洲五大山系的山结,是连接东亚、中亚和南亚的必经之地,早在两千年前就已成为贯通中西方文化交流的重要一环,也是人类古代文明尤其是农业文明交流的高原通道,无论在地理、历史和文化方面都占有重要的地位和价值。本项目紧紧围绕“新疆丝绸之路古代文明兴衰和湿地环境演变之间的关系”这一科学问题,通过采集具有连续沉积的塔什库尔干金草滩湿地的自然沉积剖面,和该地区拥有丰富文化遗存的香宝宝考古遗址剖面的样品,依据两个剖面地层的精确定年和孢粉、硅藻、沉积学、地球化学和环境磁学等多环境代用指标的信息提取,建立起高时间分辨率的环境演变序列;结合考古遗址发掘和史载资料,阐述帕米尔塔什库尔干地区5000年以来的湿地环境演变、人类活动特征及其两者之间的耦合关系。该项研究从机制和过程上探讨该地区自然生态和人文环境的演变过程以及与丝绸之路古代文明兴衰的相互关系,并将为建设"一带一路"服务,为实现美丽中国助力。
英文摘要
The Pamirs Plateau links five major mountain systems in Asia, and connects East Asia, Central Asia, and South Asia. It was crucial in providing a link between the Chinese and Western cultures 2000 years ago and was the plateau channel of ancient civilization, especially agricultural civilization; it has thus played an important role in the geography, history, and culture of the area. This project focuses on the relationship between the rise and fall of ancient civilization of the Silk Road and evolution of the wetland environment. In this study, a continuous natural sedimentary section of Jincaotan wetland will be collected together with an archaeological profile of Xiangbaobao in Taxkorgan region, which contains rich cultural relics. A high-resolution environmental evolution sequence will be extracted based on multiproxy records including palynology, diatom, sedimentary, geochemistry, environmental magnetism, and dating data. Combining these data with archaeological data and historical materials, this study aims to comprehensively elucidate evolution of the wetland environment, characteristics of human activity, and their relationships on Pamirs Plateau in Taxkorgan since 5000aBP. Evolutionary processes in natural ecology and the human environment and their association with the rise and fall of ancient civilization of the silk road in the area will be discussed with respect to the mechanisms and processes involved. Results could provide scientific support for construction of the Belt and Road initiative and building of a beautiful China.
