颏花金龟族（鞘翅目：金龟科：花金龟亚科）全世界已知50属约473种。因部分种类为肉食性而在金龟子类中享有声誉，也被认为是待开发的天敌资源。该类群十分罕见，采集难度大，色型变异丰富，其分类研究一直较为滞后。颏花金龟族在东洋界中印亚界分布有9属约62种，申请人通过多年收集该地区的大量研究材料，全面核对国内外模式标本，已修订了中印亚界的3个属25种。本项目拟继续以该地区的种类为研究对象，结合成虫、幼虫形态特征及分子数据，进一步开展分类学修订，明确本底资源和地理分布，记录成虫与幼虫的习性，为种类鉴定、资源开发和系统发育研究提供依据。本研究的成果将缩小该类群我国与国际整体的研究差距。

The tribe Cremastocheilini (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Cetoniinae) consist of 473 species in 50 genera worldwide. Some of them are well-known because they are carnivorous and thus were considered as potential natural enemy resources. This group is usually rare but rich in color variation, and result in the taxonomic research on these beetles lagging behind. Sixty-two species assigned to 9 genera are known from the Indo-China sub-region of the Oriental region. Based on the examination of the type materials and additional specimens collected from this area, 25 species in 3 genera were revised by the applicant in the past five years. The present project intends to conduct a further taxonomic revision of the species from this sub-region using morphological characteristics of adults and larvae and molecular data, make species inventory and document the habit of adults and larvae. These results will provide the basis for species identification, resource development and phylogeny research, and close the gap of the taxonomic research on this group between China and abroad.
