车联网以车内网、车际网和车载移动互联网为基础,按照约定的通信协议和标准,在车-X间进行无线通信和信息交换,实现智能化交通管理和动态信息服务。多媒体数据携带比常规数据丰富得多的信息,能够帮助节点做出更有利的判断和决策,发挥出车联网的最优功效。因此,多媒体数据的可靠高效传输是车联网实现其功效最优化的基础和关键问题。为保障车联网中多媒体数据传输的服务质量,推动车联网的应用和发展,本课题深入分析影响车联网多媒体数据传输性能的关键因素,研究车联网多媒体数据的可靠高效传输。内容包括:1)针对车联网拓扑变化剧烈、节点移动速度快等共性影响因素,设计车-路、车-车及车-X高效协作通信机制,实现各节点多层次深度协作,提高传输可靠性; 2)针对多媒体数据存在“时效性”、“有序性”等个性影响因素,引入网络编码,研究顺应多媒体数据特征和个性化服务质量需求的编码调度方法,改善传输有效性,实现多媒体数据业务效用最优化。

Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is a new emerging type of networks which realizes Vehicle-to-X (V2X) wireless communications and information exchange over intra-vehicle, inter-vehicle and vehicular mobile networks, based on a series of protocols and standards. IoV has capability of realizing intelligent transportation management and dynamic information services. Multimedia data contain richer information than regular data do, and those information can help vehicular clients make better judgments and decisions once they can be exploited thoroughly, so that the best impact of IoV can be achieved. Therefore, multimedia data dissemination plays a vital role in realizing practical IoV and accomplishing all the desired functions of IoV. In order to provide Quality of Service (QoS) guarantee for multimedia data dissemination in IoV, and to promote the application and development of IoV, this proposal analyzes the key characteristics that affect the transmission performance of multimedia data in IoV, and studies the design of reliable and efficient transmission schemes for multimedia data over IoV. Including: 1) For the common characteristics such as drastically changing topologies and fast moving nodes, this project proposes to design Vehicle-to-Road Side Unit (RSU), Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-X cooperative communication mechanisms to improve the reliability of transmission through multi-level deep cooperation between nodes; 2) For the individual characteristics such as “time-sensitiveness” and “order-sensitiveness”, this project proposes to utilize network coding technology, to find efficient coding-based scheduling methods that respect the individual characteristics and personalized QoS requirements, to maximize the utility of multimedia data and to advance the efficiency of transmission.
