作为液体性质随温度复杂演变的典型代表,液液相变和强脆转变均是凝聚态物理和材料科学研究领域的前沿和热点问题。前者在金属玻璃高温熔体中广泛存在,后者则普遍存在于金属玻璃的过冷液体中。把金属玻璃液体在不同阶段的异常典型表现进行联系,找出其外在和内在关联,不仅有利于从液固遗传角度深入认识金属玻璃液体的性质演变规律,完善玻璃转变理论,同时对于金属玻璃固体的生产工艺调控以及新产品的研发也具有非常重要的意义。本课题从金属玻璃高温熔体液液相变现象和过冷液相区强脆转变现象的宏观定量关系为出发点,重点探索该联系背后的关键微观结构遗传信息及其对应的动力学不均匀性特征演变规律,以团簇特征信息和动力学不均匀性为桥梁,建立金属玻璃高温熔体液液相变、过冷液体强脆转变和非晶固体玻璃转变在整个凝固过程中的关联图景,并以此为依据,建立金属玻璃液体性质复杂演变过程与外在条件相结合的固体性质控制路径。

As typical representatives of complex evolution of liquid properties with temperature, liquid-liquid phase transition and fragile-to-strong transition are both frontier and hot issues in the field of condensed matter physics and material science. The former is widely present in high-temperature alloy melts, and the latter is ubiquitous in supercooled liquids of metallic glasses. Through the unification of typical performances of metallic glass-forming liquids at different temperature regions, and finding their external and internal correlations, it is not only useful in understanding the evolution of the properties of metallic glass-forming liquids from the perspective of liquid-solid heredity and improving the theory of glass transition, but also having great significance to the regulation of the production process of glassy solids and the development of new products. This subject starts from the macroscopic quantitative relationship between the liquid-liquid phase transition phenomenon of high-temperature melts and the fragile-to-strong transition in the supercooled liquid region of metallic glasses. On the bridge of cluster characteristic information and dynamic inhomogeneity, it focuses on the key microstructural genetic information behind the relationship and its corresponding evolution law of dynamic inhomogeneity. It attempts to establish the correlation scenario of the high-temperature liquid-liquid phase transition, the fragile-to-strong transition in the supercooled region and the glass transition in the whole solidification process. Based on this, a path diagram of controlling the solid properties which combines the complex processes of property evolution with external conditions of fabricating metallic glasses will be established.
