随着物联网设备的大规模部署以及数据流量的快速增长,用以支撑终端节点数据传输的异构无线网络带宽日益不足,提升网络性能的需求日益迫切。现有的方案存在性能提升有限、未充分考虑实际网络中节点资源的不均衡性等问题,无法满足快速提升现有网络性能的需求。本课题针对影响异构网络共存性能的多个关键问题,设计一套完整的物理层跨协议信息传输及检测机制与MAC层信道接入相结合的跨层协议体系,实现异构网络之间的有效干扰管理,提升网络吞吐量、降低延时,考虑商用设备兼容性,最终提升现有网络整体传输性能。同时,本课题还将构建实验平台,验证物理层方案的正确性和有效性,合理配置参数;构建原型系统,验证跨层协议的各项性能指标,为实际系统设计提供指导。本项目的研究以既有标准与自主创新相结合,提出具备实际网络部署能力的方案,对物联网性能提升具有重要意义。
英文摘要
With the wide deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) and the rapid growth of data traffic, the heterogeneous wireless networks have the high challenge on improving the performance to meet the requirements of IoT applications. The current mechanisms either have limit performance improvement or do not consider the resource differences on wireless devices, thus are hard to be deployed to commercial networks. This project aims to design a novel cross-layer interference management mechanism to solve the key problems in the coexistance of heterogeneous networks, so as to improve the network performance. Specifically, we will devise the physical layer mechaisms to extract key information from heterogeneous signal, to resist interference, and to enable cooperative coordination among heterogeneous devices. Based on the physical layer design, we will design MAC layer mechanisms for interference management, thus to improve the network throughput and decrease the transmission latency. We will consider the mechanism’s compatibility with commercial devices to gurantee its ability to be deployed to commercial devices. We will also conduct completed hardware experiments to measure the effectiveness of the cross-layer design. Based on the experiment results, we will be able to configure the proper parameters for the system to achieve the optimal performance. Moreover, we propose to implement a prototype for the proposed scheme so as to verify its potentials in deploying in large-scale commercial networks. The platform designed in this project, can also facilitate further research in related fields and provide useful guidance for the design of real systems. All these outcomes will make important contributions to the improvement of the overall performance of current heterogeneous wireless networks.
随着物联网设备的大规模部署以及数据流量的快速增长,用以支撑终端节点数据传输的异构无线网络带宽日益不足,提升网络性能的需求日益迫切。现有的方案存在性能提升有限、未充分考虑实际网络中节点资源的不均衡性等问题,无法满足快速提升现有网络性能的需求。本课题针对影响异构网络共存性能的多个关键问题,设计一套完整的物理层跨协议信号传输及检测机制与MAC层信道接入相结合的跨层协议体系,实现异构网络之间的有效干扰管理,提升网络吞吐量、降低延时,考虑商用设备兼容性,最终提升现有网络整体传输性能。经过四年的工作,本项目主要完成:(1)研究物理层跨协议信号传输及检测机制,包括异构信号关键参数检测机制以及协调信息高效传输机制;(2)在此基础上实现异构网络跨层协议设计,从频域与时域的角度优化协议以提升网络性能。(3)基于以上协议搭建异构网络原型系统,验证整个协议在实际网络环境下的有效性以及各种性能参数的影响。本项目的研究成果也获得了国内外同行的认可,在项目期间发表(含录用)学术论文13篇,其中CCF A类期刊IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing 2篇、 IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems 1篇,中科院一区TOP期刊IEEE Wireless Communications(影响因子11.979)1篇、IEEE Internet of Things Journal(影响因子9.471)1篇,CCF B类会议IEEE ICDCS 1篇,中科院二区期刊IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology(影响因子5.978)1篇、IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing(影响因子5.938)1篇,另有其他会议及期刊5篇。申请中国发明专利5项,完成1项专利转化。完成英文专著1部。完成开源软件包1份。研究成果获得广东省计算机学会优秀论文二等奖。
