Industrial CO2 capture is an important way to achieve the carbon reduction target. Considering the characteristics of flue gas temperature in steel industry, this project aims to simplify the CO2 capture performance and reduce the cost by developing solid adsorbents with excellent CO2 adsorption and capture performance in the range of 100-200 oC. There has been a lack of solid CO2 adsorption materials in the temperature range of 100-200 oC. The reason is that this temperature range does not match the adsorption temperature window of most materials. In order to solve this problem, this project will take the precursor control strategy to construct mixed metal oxide (MMO) materials with both physical and chemical adsorption properties at the target temperature, figure out the influence of the structure and temperature on its CO2 adsorption activity. In order to enhance the adsorption activity, MMO will be optimized through the organic anion intercalation and alkali metal salts promotion to control the physical and chemical adsorption sites. And the cyclic adsorption and desorption performance, low concentration CO2 adsorption activity and the water influence will be systematically tested to develop a solid adsorption material which can be used for direct CO2 capture of flue gas. At last, the modification mechanism of the adsorbent will also be analyzed to clarify the CO2 adsorption mechanism of the material at different temperatures, providing technical and theoretical support for the CO2 emission reduction from industrial sources.
