At present, the morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of various diseases. The incidence rate of cardiovascular diseases is high and the cure rate is low. It has become one of the leading killer of human health. It is very important to study the role of stem cells in atherosclerosis for the treatment and prevention of the disease. A number of in vitro studies have shown that Sca1+ cells can undergo transdifferentiation under specific conditions. At the same time, Sca1 can label a variety of cells outside the blood vessels, but its function in atherosclerosis are not clear. Our research will focus on combines the molecular biological technology with the transgenic mouse model to study the cell lineage 、 function of Sca1+ cells in the process of atherosclerosis and explore the molecular mechanism. It may provide a new direction for the treatment of atherosclerosis, and then we can provide a new idea for cardiovascular regenerative medicine.
