A realistic theory of dynamically broken weak interactions not only requires fermions with a new strong interaction at 1 TeV, but also additional gauge couplings which explicitly break quark and lepton chiral symmetries. This “sideways” gauge interaction connects light fermions to the 1 TeV fermions and, very likely, to themselves as well. It is dynamically broken near 100 TeV to a subgroup containing the 1 TeV interactions. This dynamical scheme is subject to definite low- energy tests: (1) Charged and neutral spinless pseudo-Goldstone bosons with mass expected between 10 and 40 GeV; the charged ones are readily detectible in e+e−annihilation. (2) Flavor-changing neutral-current interactions which mediate rare decays at rates not far below present upper limits.
