使用美国NCAR区域气候模式RegCM2研究了西北植被覆盖面积变化对我国区域气候变化的影响。设置了两个灵敏度实验。一种是造林，另一种是少植被试验。结果表明，造林和灾害对地表温度和夏季风有影响。在西北地区的植被试验中，华东地区夏季风将增强，长江以北地区的降水也将增加。但在西北地区植被较少的试验中，华东地区夏季风减弱，长江以北地区降水减少。
The NCAR RegCM2 regional climate model has been used to study the influence of Northwest China(NW China) afforestation on regional climate in China. Two sensitivity experiments are set up. One is afforestation and other is the experiment with less vegetation. It found that afforestation and disaster can effect land surface temperature and summer monsoon. In the more vegetation experiment in the NW China, the summer monsoon in east China will strengthen and rainfall to the north of Yangtze River will increase as well. But in the experiment with less vegetation in NW China, the summer monsoon in east China will weaken and the precipitation to the north of Yangtze River will decrease.
