Writing an integer n ≥ 2 as n = p1 1 p2 · · · p αk k where p1 < p2 < · · · < pk are its prime factors, for any real β ∈ (0, 1), we define the β-positioned prime factor of n > 1 as p(β)(n) := pmax(1,bβ(k+1)c).
