MATERIALS AND METHODSThe culture technique employed was the same as that described by Rose, Pomerat and Danes (6). Motion picture records were made both at 1 and 8 frames per minute with dark phase contrast 8 and 1.9 mm objectives (AO). When these were projected at the standard rate of 16 frames per minute, the acceleration of activity was 960 and 120 times, respectively.
