The Adaptive Discrete Space Vector Modulation-based Direct Torque Predictive Control (ADSVM-DTPC) was proposed for improving motor torque performance. Firstly, the reference torque instruction was converted to reference torque angle and flux amplitude instruction, and motor torque and stator flux were decoupled by stator field orientation. Torque and flux deadbeat predictive control is put into use to generate reference voltage vector online. Then, the cost function was designed to obtain the time intervals and adaptive DSVM was implemented, avoiding complicated weighting factor selection and repeated voltage vectors enumeration, improving the dynamic performance and simplifying the realization. Finally, the comparative researches among traditional switching table-based direct torque control (ST-DTC), finite control set-model predictive torque control (FCS-MPTC) and the proposed ADSVM-DTPC were conducted on SMPMSM drive system.
