The interaction between sulfilimines and TCNQ in CH2Cl2 was examined. The interaction depended markedly upon the structure of the sulfilimines: the higher the basicity of the sulfilimine, the stronger the interaction observed. For the crystalline complex of S,S-dimethyl-N-p-nitrophenylsulfilimine–TCNQ, 1:1 structure of biradical-salt type was estimated by spectroscopic and chemical analyses.
