ABSTRACT This paper describes a new species of mite, Sonotetranychus vaneyndhoveni spec. nov., from Costa Rica. It was collected from Diphysa americana (Guachipelin) at the Campus of the University of Costa Rica, San Pedro de Montes de Oca, a province of San Jose, Costa Rica.
