1. The phase diagram of the binary system Gd 2 O 3-SiO 2 was studied and constructed. 2. Compounds of the types oxyorthosilicate (Gd 2 [SiO 4), orthosilicate (Gd 4 SiO 4] 3), and pyrosilicate (Gd 2 Si 2 O 7) were synthesized. The properties of these compounds were studied. 3.
