Resumo O objetivo deste artigo e estudar a importância dos cultos das aguas na Tradicao Celta. Rios, fontes, e lagos tinham um relevante lugar na ideologia religiosa dos povos com cultura celta2. Os meios aquaticos eram o principal meio de acesso ao Outro Mundo, e os celtas acreditavam que os lagos e pocos tinham poderes magicos e virtudes curativas. Os meios aquaticos tambem eram associados com as mulheres. As ultimas descobertas tem mostrado que os cultos ligados a agua estavam presentes na vida cotidiana das pessoas do antigo mundo celta. Por isso, a relevância de estudos sobre esta tematica. Utilizaremos as contribuicoes das fontes classicas, da Arqueologia da Mitologia Celtica. Autores como Mircea Eliade, Georges Dumezil e outros serao importantes nas nossas explanacoes. Palavras-chave: Religiao celta, cultos das aguas, Outro Mundo celta Abstract The aim of this work is to study the importance of the water cults in the Celtic Tradition. The rivers, springs, and lakes had main place in the religious ideology of the people with Celtic Culture. The wet places were the main way to access to the Other World and the Celts believed that lakes, pools and wells had magic power and healing virtues. The wet places are also associated with women. The ultimate discoveries have shown that the cults linked with water were present in the everyday life of the people in ancient Celtic Word. Therefore, the importance of studies on such subject. We will use the contribution of the Classic writers, of Archaeology and of the Celtic Mythology. Scholars like Mircea Eliade, Georges Dumezil and others will be important for our explanation.
