We demonstrate how to use the Fokas method to analyze initial-boundary value problems for integrable evolution equations posed on a time-dependent interval. In particular, we implement this method to a general dispersive linear evolution equation with spatial derivatives of arbitrary order and to the nonlinear Schrodinger equation, formulated in the time-dependent domain l1(t) < x < l2(t), 0 < t < T, where l1(t) and l2(t) are given, real, twice differentiable functions whose first derivatives are monotonic, and T is a positive fixed constant.
