Novel glasses have been prepared in the As2S3Ag2S system by splat cooling. A glass domain is obtained from As2S3to 0.1As2S30.9Ag2S. Thermal properties, ionic conductivity and transference number have been determined. A model based on IR absorption spectroscopy measurements has been proposed to account for the structure and the related properties.
