ESEARCH EQUIPMENT GRANT: Freeze/Thaw Consolidation Device

这项建议所要求的资金，是用以购置可冻结和解冻土壤样本的改良一维固结仪，并使用自动加载和数据采集系统，以直接和间接方法测量水力传导性。这项研究的最终目的是寻求在环境条件变化时尽量减少土壤水力传导性变化的方法。

The funds sought in this proposal are for the acquisition of a modified one-dimensional consolidometer which has the capability of freezing and thawing the soil sample, and using an automatic loading and data acquisition system, make measurements of the hydraulic conductivity by direct and indirect means. The ultimate aim of the research is to seek methodology for minimizing changes in the hydraulic conductivity of soils when subjected to variations in environmental conditions.
