Seventh International Conference on Hunting and Gathering Societies, Support

这项建议的目的是支助莫斯科俄罗斯科学院民族学和人类学研究所规划第七次狩猎和采集社会国际会议（1993年8月）。关于俄罗斯北部土著民族的民族志和民族历史数据库极为有限。这次会议将促进与俄罗斯境内的学者和土著人民的第一次有意义的全球交流，并为未来在北方民族志、人类学、语言学和考古学方面的国际研究支持和合作奠定基础。

The purpose of this proposal is to support the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, in connection with planning for The Seventh International Conference on Hunting and Gathering Societies (August 1993). There is an extremely limited ethnographic and ethnohistoric data base on indigenous peoples in the Russian North. This meeting will facilitate the first meaningful worldwide communication with scholars and native peoples within Russia, and lay the groundwork for future international research support and collaboration in northern ethnography, anthropology, lingusitics and archaeology.
