A U.S.-China Planning Visit: Landscape-level biodiversity conservation, forest restoration and socioeconomics at multiple scales

孟斐斯动物园的Andrew Kouba博士向中国科学院北京动物研究所动物生态与保护生物学重点实验室魏福文博士提交了一份计划访问提案。此次访问的目的是规划中国中部秦岭地区景观级生物多样性保护计划的下一阶段。本次规划考察是建立景观尺度生态系统服务和生物多样性管理的长期培训和研究项目的重要一步。

Dr. Andrew Kouba of the Memphis Zoo, Memphis submitted a planning visit proposal to request a visit to Dr. Wei Fuwen, Key Laboratory of Animal Ecology and Conservation Biology, the Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing. The purpose of the visit is to plan the next phase of a landscape-level biodiversity conservation initiative in the Qinling Mountains of central China. This proposed planning visit is an important step to establish a long-term training and research program for ecosystem services and biodiversity management at the landscape scale.
