'Vindicta' (Vengeance resp. Punishment) as a Security Issue (B07)

“Vindicta”既指复仇，也指报复性惩罚，因此指向了一个矛盾的事实：一方面，复仇部分地融入了中世纪晚期德意志赖希的法律的体系，然而，另一方面，它--就像任何一种任意暴力一样--对和平构成了威胁。该项目主要以神学文本为基础，分析了用来区分合法和非法暴力或使一般的任意暴力，特别是复仇安全化的各种方法和汇编。

„Vindicta“ means vengeance as well as revenging punishment and thus points to an ambivalence fact: On the one hand, vengeance was partially integrated in the legal system of the late medieval German Reich, on the other hand, however, it presented – as any type of arbitrary violence – a threat to peace. On the basis of notably theological texts, the project analyses heuristics and repertoires which were applied to distinguish between legitimate and illegitimate violence or to securitize arbitrary violence in general and vengeance in particular.
