Fiscal effect caused by the promoting of the compact city

本研究的目的是通过实证分析来说明紧凑型城市的形成对地方财政的影响。选择在分析中使用的数据，以反映对地方政府和民间组织的采访。首次使用州数据进行的分析表明，人口密度的上升可以降低道路维护和新建道路项目的成本。利用城市数据分析表明，城区居民的增加和商场内零售商(建筑面积)的增加并不能降低城市写字楼的成本，而一个城市内城市规划数量和城市街道所占比例的增加带来城市成本的增加。而城市街道占全市道路的百分比也得出了同样的结果。最后，通过这些分析表明，紧凑型城市的形成并不一定会使政府支出减少。

The purpose of this study is to show "What impact do from the formation of the compact city to local finance" using empirical analysis. Select data used in analysis that reflects the interviews with local governments and civic organizations. The first analysis using state data showed that the rise of population density in "Densely Inhabited District" can reduce the both cost for road maintenance and new road project. And the second using city data showed that the increase of urban area residents and the increase of retailer (floor space) at the mall can't reduce for the cost of city office, and the increase of The number of urban planning that exist in one city and Percentage in urban street bring the increase of the city cost. And the Percentage of urban street for the all road in the city brings same result. Finally, through these analyses, I showed that the formation of "compact city" isn't necessarily always make government spending reduction.
