A study on effects of school reorganization to utilization of local surroundings in the environmental education activities

本研究以小学合并后的环境教育活动为研究对象，通过对校长的访谈，了解合并后的小学对当地资源的利用现状、合并后的小学与当地社区的合作关系，以及合并后的小学与当地社区的合作关系在合并和撤销学校前后的变化情况，结果如下：（1）以前的学区活动趋于消失。 在以前的学区也发现了类似或新的活动，尽管这些活动有限。 这就是说，合并学校在广泛的学区内利用当地资源。(2)有必要以灵活的方式将校车应用于合并学校。(3)合并后的学校与当地社区之间的合作关系有所削弱，这是遗留问题之一。

This paper focuses on the Environmental Education activity in consolidated elementary schools and aims to clarify the following three points from interviews with principals: the actual state of utilization of local resources, the cooperative relationship between the consolidated school and its local communities and the condition of these changing before and after the consolidation and abolition of schools.The results are as follows: (1) Former activities in former school districts tend to disappear. Similar or new activities in former school districts are found although such activities were limited. This is to say that consolidated schools utilize local resources in wide school district. (2) It is necessary to apply school buses to consolidated schools in a flexible way. (3) The cooperative relationship between the consolidated school and its local communities has weakened and this is one of remaining issues.
