Practical Study on "Structure of Urban Family-Life Comparison between Urban Area and Rural Area

该项目试图通过比较农村地区人民的家庭生活来探索城市地区人民的家庭生活结构。我们1987年调查的市区位于东京都郊区的八路市。拥有约45万居民的八路市多年来一直是多维、自力更生的功能城区，目前正在经历新的发展，成为大学城和新床头镇。人们的家庭生活正面临着社会急剧变化的影响。侦查区呈现新旧并举、变化延续的特点。农村地区人民的家庭生活似乎更加现代化和合理化，他们的日常家庭生活和职业生活以及价值观。

The project attempts to explore the structure of family life of the people in urban area with respect to the comparison between the family life of the people in rural area. The urban area we surveyed in 1987 is located to the Hachioji-city in outskirt of Tokyo Metropolitan Area. The Hachioji city witb about 450 thousands inhabitances has been multi-dimentional and self-relience functional urban area for long years and is now experiencing new development as a univercity city and new bed-town. The family life of the people is now faced to the influences of rapid social change. The area of the investigation has the characteristics of the new and the old, and changes and continues. II compair to the rural area family life of the people is seemed to be more modernized and rationalized in their daily family life and occupational life and values.
