DEVELOPMENT OF TRITIUM GAS ELIMINATING SYSTEM BY IMMOBILIZED BACTERIA

本研究探讨了固定化氚气氧化菌作为催化剂消除氚气的可能性和发展。在各种氢（氚气）氧化菌株中，选择了氧化活性最高的放线菌，并对固定化细胞的培养条件进行了研究。在低温下长时间保持纤维固定细胞的氚气氧化活性，经洗涤和再培养后，固定细胞的氧化活性恢复。氚气体消除系统由一个装有固定化细胞的色谱柱、-60°C冷阱、分子筛和硅胶阱以及氚监测仪组成。

In this study we investigated the possibility and development of elimination system of tritium gas by immobilized tritium gas-oxidizing bacteria as a catalyst. Among various hydrogen (tritium gas) -oxidizing bacterial strains tested, an actinomycetes with highest oxidation activity was chosen and culture conditions to make immobilized cells were examined. Tritium gas oxidizing activity in immobilized cells with fiberm was kept for a long time at low temparature and the oxidation activity of immobilized cells was recovered after washing and recultivation. Tritium gas elimination system consisted of a column packed with immobilized cells, -60ﾟC cold trap, molecular sieves and silica gel traps, and a tritium monitor.
