EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM DIETARY CHANGE FROM HIGH FAT TO HIGH CARBOHYDRATE DIETS ON ENERGY METABOLISM DURING PROLONGED EXERCISE IN UNTRAINED RATS

本研究旨在探讨从高脂(F)饮食到高碳水化合物(C)饮食的短期饮食变化对高脂饮食大鼠肌肉和肝脏糖原储存和利用以及脂肪组织脂肪分解的影响。结果表明，与饲喂F饲料的大鼠相比，从F饲料转换为C饲料(CHO负荷)3d的大鼠安静时和运动后即刻肌肉和肝脏的糖原储备增加，运动时肝糖原储备减少。在体外，CHO负荷对内脏脂肪组织的脂解活性没有影响。此外，短期C饮食加能量限制或不加能量限制均导致运动时肝糖原储备减少，而C饮食加能量限制仅增加安静时肌肉和肝脏的糖原储备。

This study was conducted to obtain effects of short-term dietary change from a high fat (F) diet to a high carbohydrate (C) diet on glycogen storage and utilization of muscle and liver, and lipolysis in adipose tissue in rats previously fed F diet. The results suggest that compared with the rats fed F diet, the rats who were switched from F diet to C diet (CHO loading) for 3 days enhanced glycogen stores of muscle and liver at rest and shortly after exercise, and that liver glycogen sparing during exercise. In vitro lipolytic activity of visceral adipose tissue was not impaired by CHO loading. In addition, short-term C diet feeding with or without energy restriction resulted in liver glycogen sparing during exercse, and that the C diet feeding with energy restriction only enhanced glycogen stores of muscle and liver at rest.
