Empirical Study on Validity of correlates of the New Japanese Version of MMPI : Relationship between Other Psychological measurements

本研究明确了新日文MMPI量表（NJV-MMPI）基本量表得分与男性大学生FNE、自信量表和CISS三种心理测量的关系。以下结果是几组受试者之间的稳定关系。NJV-MMPI中的7、0、2量表与FNE （Fear of Negative Evaluation scale）呈正相关，K量表呈负相关。0、2、7量表均与自信量表呈负相关。0分与CISS任务导向量表呈正相关，2分和9分与CISS任务导向量表呈负相关。K量表与CISS情绪导向量表呈负相关，7、F、6量表与CISS情绪导向量表呈正相关。9分与CISS回避导向量表呈正相关，0分与CISS回避导向量表呈负相关。与原MMPI量表不存在相矛盾的相关关系。因此，NJV-MMPI的相关因素似乎与原始MMPI的相关因素相当。最后，对NJV-MMPI相关因素的有效性进行了进一步的研究。

This research clarifies the relationship the basic scales' scores in the New Japanese Version of MMPI (NJV-MMPI) and three psychological measurements (FNE, Assertiveness Scale, and CISS) for male undergraduates. The following results are stable relationships across several groups of subjects.The 7, the 0, and the 2 scale in the NJV-MMPI and FNE (Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale) are positively correlated, and K scale is negatively.The 0, the 2, and the 7 scale are all negatively correlated with Assertiveness Scale.The 0 scale is positively correlated, and the 2 and the 9 are negatively correlated with the Task-oriented Scale of CISS (Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations). K scale is negatively correlated, and the 7, the F, and the 6 scale are positively correlated with the Emotional-oriented Scale of CISS. The 9 scale is positively and the 0 scale is negatively correlated with the Avoidance-oriented Scale of CISS.There is no contradicted relationship with the original MMPI scale correlates. Therefore, the correlates of the NJV-MMPI seem to be equivalent to the ones of the original MMPI. Finally, other than the correlation approach is presented for the future study for the validity of the correlates of the NJV-MMPI.
