Research into the Contributions of the Austrian School to Economics: The Development from Its Emergence to Its Present State

(1)奥地利经济学派的发展研究：从奥地利经济学派的产生到现在这是日本国内第一个研究奥地利经济学派从产生到现在的发展。在本研究中，将迄今为止只被部分探索和评价的奥地利学派经济学置于经济学之中，并对其意义进行了评价。(2)对奥地利学派传统经济学家的评价。本研究首先对门格尔、庞巴维克和哈耶克进行了评价。除此之外，米塞斯、摩根斯坦、伊斯雷尔·柯兹纳和罗杰·加里森这些代表当今新奥地利经济学家的人也被挑选和评价。因此，我们可以从整体上区分所谓的“奥地利学派”。本研究通过对“经济学方法论”、“经济计算”、“知识问题”、“市场过程”、“企业家精神”等主题的深入研究，可以探索奥地利经济学的特色。在“金融与银行”、“贸易周期理论”、“自由主义”等领域，我们可以将奥地利学派与新古典主义进行比较，也可以将奥地利学派与凯恩斯主义进行比较。更重要的是，通过“博弈论”，我们可以证明“个体决策的相互依赖”和“信息不对称”思想的起源可以在奥地利学派传统中找到。(4)研究结果的发表：本研究结果将于今年由日本经济出版社出版，由Okon和Hashimoto编辑的《奥地利经济学》一书中发表。

(1) The research into the development of the Austrian school of economics: From its emergence to its present stateThis is the first research in Japan, which treats with the development of the Austrian school of economics from its emergence to the present state. In this research, Austrian economics, which so far has been explored and evaluated only partially, is placed within economics, and its significance is evaluated.(2) The evaluation of economists in the Austrian traditionIn this research, firstly Menger, Bohm-Bawerk, and Hayek are evaluated. As well as this, Mises, Morgenstern, Israel Kirzner and Roger Garrison who represent neo-Austrian economists today are picked up and evaluated. As the result of this, we can distinguish what is called "the Austrian school" as a whole.(3) The research on the characteristic features of Austrian economicsIn this research, through the intensive studies of such themes as "methodology in economics", "economic calculation", "knowledge problem", "market process", and "entrepreneurship", we can explore the characteristic features of Austrian economics. In the fields of "finance and banking", "trade-cycle theory", and "liberalism", we can make comparisons between the Austrian approach and neoclassicism, and also the, former and Keynesianism. What is more, by considering "game theory", we can demonstrate that the origin of the ideas of "interdependence of individual decisions" and "asymmetric information" can be found in the Austrian tradition.(4) Publication of the research resultsThe results of this research will be published in a book titled " Austrian economics", which is edited by Okon and Hashimoto, from Nihon Keizai Hyoron-Sya Inc. this year.
