A Systematic Study on the Traditional Vietnamese Housing

此次调查是应越南文化和信息部的要求进行的。本次调查的目的是对越南传统民居进行系统化。在项目期间，对南定省、银安省、广义省、天江省、广南省和清华省六个省进行了调查。调查是与建筑研究所、河内建筑大学、河内土木工程大学和胡志明建筑大学合作进行的。在第一阶段的调查中，绘制了房屋的简单布局图，拍摄了房屋的照片，并对居民进行了简短的采访。根据第一阶段调查的结果，大约10%的房屋被选为第二阶段调查。在第二阶段的勘察中，绘制了房屋的详细平面图。调查完成后，从每个省份中挑选了约5所房屋作为国家文化资产候选对象。调查收集的数据被用于选择2000年开始的日本国际协力事业团伙伴项目下需要修复的房屋。此外，为了促进越南和日本研究人员之间的学术交流，在项目期间举办了多次研讨会。

The survey was carried out in response to the request of Vietnamese Ministry of Culture and Information. The aim of the survey is to systematize the Vietnamese traditional housing. During the term of project, surveys have been carried out on the six provinces of Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Quang Ngai, Tien Giang, Quang Nam, and Thanh Hoa. The surveys were carried out in cooperation with Institute for Architectural Research, Hanoi Architecture University, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, and Hochiminh Architecture University.In the first-stage survey, a simple layout plan of the house is drawn, photos of the house are taken, and a brief interview of the resident is carried out. Based on the results of the first-stage survey, approximately 10 percent of the houses are selected for the second-stage survey. In the second-stage survey, detailed plans of the houses are drawn. After the completion of survey, about five houses from each province were selected as candidates to be designated as national cultural asset. The data collected from the survey were utilized in the selection of houses to be restored under the JICA Partnership Project which began in the year 2000.Moreover, in order to promote academic exchange between the Vietnamese and Japanese researchers, seminars were held several times during the term of project.
