A CRITICAL EDITION OF GANDAVYUHA-SUTRA AND NEW INTERPRETATION BASED ON A MODERN TRANSLATION.

自2002年以来，我们完成了以下工作：(1)已输入的梵文、藏文和中文文本的校对。(2)Vaidya和Suzuki版本的校对，两个藏文版本，三个中文版本和三个来自皇家亚洲学会，巴罗达研究所，和剑桥大学(3)提交最终报告：甘达维尤哈-苏特拉第一章三种语言的文本三种语言文本的格式如下：第一行：Vaidya编辑第二行：来自皇家亚洲学会的手稿第三行：铃木编辑的异读第四行：巴罗达研究所手稿的异读第五行：剑桥大学手稿的异读第六行：Sde-Dge版藏文文本第七行：北京版藏文文本异读第八行：中文文本60卷第九行：中文文本80卷第十行：中文本40卷这次调查的结果显示，就第一章而言，大部分的异读是抄写错误和句子或短语的随机顺序。因此，我们没有找到新的读物来允许我们做出新的解释。

Since 2002 what we have completed the following :(1)Correction of Sanskrit, Tibetan and Chinese texts which are already input.(2)Collation of Vaidya and Suzuki editions, two Tibetan versions, three Chinese versions and three manuscripts from Royal Asiatic society, Baroda Institute, and Cambridge University(3)Presentation of the final report : a tri-lingual text of the first chapter of GANDAVYUHA-SUTRAThe format of the tri-lingual text is as follows :The first line : Vaidya editonThe second line : manuscript from Royal Asiatic SocietyThe third line : Variant readings of Suzuki editonThe forth line : variant readings in manuscript from the Baroda InstituteThe fifth line : variant readings in manuscript from Cambridge UniversityThe sixth line : the Sde-Dge version of the Tibetan textThe seventh line : variant readings in the Peking version of the Tibetan textThe eighth line : Chinese text in 60 volumesThe ninth line : Chinese text in 80 volumesThe tenth line : Chinese text in 40 volumesThe result of this investigation reveals that, as far as the first chapter is concerned, most of the variant readings are scribal errors and random order of sentences or phrases. Therefore, we did not find new readings which would allow us to make new interpretations.
