Research of Domestic Violence in Japan - through the analysis of the homicide cases in recent decades -

在本研究中，我们打算通过分析日本近几十年来家庭间杀人案件的司法裁决，研究今后打击家庭暴力的措施。与昭和时代相比，平成时代以来杀人案件中的杀人比例显著下降。昭和时期杀婴的主要原因是母亲杀死自己意外怀孕所生的孩子。因此，我们推测，杀婴案的减少是由于婴儿出生数量的减少和母亲意外怀孕的减少。但是，自平成时代以来，父母杀害年长子女的案件有所增加。这些案件的背景是家庭暴力或受害者的犯罪行为。还可以观察到，自平成时代以来，在杀人案件中，女性杀害丈夫或情人的案件数量有所增加，在其背景下，存在长期的家庭暴力。为了预防虐待儿童和家庭暴力，需要建立切实有效的制度，对这些现象进行快速应对。

On this Research, we intended a study of the measure to counter Domestic violence in future through analyzing the Judicial Decisions of Homicide cases which are caused among the Family on recent decades in Japan about the process of causing the death. Compared with the Shouwa period, Attention is diverted to the fact of remarkable decrease of the percentage of infanticide among the homicide cases since Heisei Era. The main Cause of infanticide in Shouwa period was that mothers killed their children who were born by their unwanted pregnancy. So we guess the decrease of infanticide cases are caused by the decrease of the numbers of child birth and by the decrease of unwanted pregnancy of mothers. But the Homicide cases of elder children by their own parents increased since Heisei Era. At the background of the those cases there were the domestic violence or the delinquency of the victims. It is also observed the increase of the numbers of the cases that females killed their husband or lover among the Homicide cases since Heisei era and at their background there were domestic violence of long duration. For preventing the child abuse and the domestic violence it is needed establishing the system with practical effect to counter speedily to the sign of those.
