International Comparative Study on Self-Help Programs in International and Multicultural Social Work

为了发展一种将国际和多元文化社会工作联系在一起的实践模式，在日本、菲律宾和香港对菲律宾移徙工人进行了定性研究。研究结果表明，参与式行动研究对于促进农民工自助计划以及增强个人和整个群体的权能是有效的。它还建议成立一个由个人自助团体组成的协会。

To develop a practice model which functonally ties international and mutlticultural social work together, qualtitative research on Filipino migrant workers was conducted in Japan, the Philippines and Hong Kong. The results showed the effectiveness of participatory action research for facilitating self-help programs of migrant workers as well as empowerment of both individuals and the group as a whole. It also suggested importance of forming an association of individual self-help groups.
