Practice and policy of Japanese as a second language education for junior high school and high school students

本研究以初中生和高中学生为研究对象，这些学生从小就居住在日本。本研究的目的是调查学生在语言和其他相关方面的特点，以及如何支持这类学生。通过对一名初中生的教学、对学生家庭的访谈以及对日语教师实践的访谈，进行了为期三年的行动研究。结果表明，尽管日本留学生在日本停留时间较长，但他们在日语学习方面存在困难，需要语言和学术支持，通过支持他们的日语学习和日语学习，可以提高他们的语言和学术能力。研究结果还表明，教育管理部门需要明确为在日本发展的日语学生提供语言支持，并为这些学生组织支持系统。

This study focuses on junior high school and high school JSL (Japanese as a second language) students who have resided in Japan from early childhood. The purpose of this study is to investigate the students' characteristics focusing on linguistic and other related aspects and ways of supporting such students. A three-year-long period of action research through the teaching of one junior high school student, an interview with the student's family, and interviews with Japanese language teachers about their practice were conducted. The results indicate that despite extended stay in Japan, JSL students have difficulties with Japanese language and need linguistic and academic support, and that by supporting their learning of and in Japanese language, their linguistic and academic capability can improve. The results also indicate that educational administration needs to explicitly designate linguistic support for JSL students who have developed in Japan from early childhood, and to organize support system for such students.
