Technical investigations for the reconstruction of historical landscapes with the aid of Geographic Information Systems

The development of land use and land administration system from the 9^<th> to 13^<th> centuries was intensively investigated. on two pictorial maps: Nukatadera garan narabini jorizu of the Nara prefecture and Bicyunokuni Kayogun Hattorigozu of the Okayama prefecture.
