Development of a small and portable gas-electron diffraction apparatus.

通过对小型扫描电子显微镜(SEM)的改进，制成了一种小型、易用的气体电子衍射(GED)装置。对扫描电子显微镜进行了改造，将扫描电子显微镜原有的内部部件更换为本项目中制造的一些新部件。因此，新的GED装置可以换回原来的扫描电子显微镜装置。从扫描电子显微镜到GED仪器的更换需要几天时间，包括安装和调整。相反的改变只需要几个小时。

A small and easy-to-use gas electron diffraction (GED) apparatushas been made by modifying a small scanning electron microscope (SEM). The modification has been carried out in which the original inner parts of the SEM had been replaced by some new parts that have been made in this project. So the new GED apparatus can be change back into the original SEM apparatus. The change from the SEM to GED apparatus takes a couple of days including the setup and adjustment. The reverse change takes only a couple of hours.
