Study of an aperiodic array antenna using Penrose tile

为了减少移相器的数量，将一个阵列天线分成多个子阵，每个子阵上连接一个移相器。在这种情况下，由于阵列的周期性，扫描光束时会出现栅瓣。单元天线的随机排列有效地防止了栅瓣的产生。本研究提出了一种采用一种瓦片作为子阵的非周期阵列天线，实现了低成本、低副瓣的特性。

To reduce the number of phase shifter, an array antenna is divided into subarrays, and one phase shifter is attached to each subarray. In this case, grating lobes will appear when the beam is scanned because of the periodicity of the array. Random arrangement of element antennas is effective to prevent grating lobes. This study proposes an aperiodic array antenna using one kind of tile as subarrays, which realize both a low cost and low sidelobe characteristics.
